LOCAL rapper BFG Straap has died after being fatally wounded in a shooting that claimed the life of another, police said.
The rapper, born Antywon Dillard, 22, was gunned down in South Dallas on Thursday afternoon.

Dallas police to reports of shots fired near South Malcolm X Boulevard, where they found 26-year-old Cory Medina Lucien with multiple gunshot wounds.
Lucien was declared dead on the scene.
Police later learned that Dillard, who also goes by his stage name BFG Straap, was self-transported to a hospital before they arrived on the scene.
The rapper eventually died at the hospital from his injuries.

BFG Straap's manager mourned the rapper's death, telling The U.S. Sun that his passing has "undoubtedly changed our lives forever".
"There are no words to express the depth of pain we are feeling. This loss has undoubtedly changed our lives forever," the rapper's manager said.
"At the time of his passing, BFG Straap was on the brink of stardom. He was preparing to go on tour and was also filming visuals for his recently released project, 11:11, which debuted last month.
"BFG Straap had more life to live and more good deeds to give. His untimely passing will leave a void in our hearts forever."

No arrests have been made, and Dallas PD has yet to disclose additional information surrounding the shooting.
BFG Straap was best known in the Dallas area for his singles GANG MEMBER, Everyday 420, I'm Good and Outta Love.
The 22-year-old is the latest drill rapper killed in recent weeks.
BFG Straap's death comes days after rapper PnB Rock, 30, was gunned down in Los Angeles on September 12.
BLOODBATH
PnB Rock, born Rakim Hasheem Allen, was shot dead during a violent robbery at a Roscoe's House of Chicken 'N Waffles eatery - where he was dining with his girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang.
Police believe the rapper may have been targeted for his jewelry.
PnB's shocking death came days before he appeared on a podcast with DJ Akademiks, where he discussed that rappers were targets for robberies, KRON reported.
He revealed that he had never been robbed and liked to avoid venues such as nightclubs and strip clubs.
He preferred to visit places that he believed were safer.
PnB told Akademiks: “I’m not superstitious or nothing (sic) like that… but I haven’t been robbed.
“I’m not going to put myself in those situations because I know what happens in those situations.”
PnB recalled the moment when he and his family were targeted by a group of people in Fairfax, LA, during thepandemic.
He said: “They (Gangsters) see me with my family and they think I’m lacking.”
PnB claimed he and his family were being followed as she tried to park the car.
He said: “Somebody came fast as s**t and took the parking spot.
“I’m like, dude, ‘he must’ve been following me or something’. How the f**k does a car get behind me so fast? They’re quick as s**t.”
The rapper said there was “no way” he was going to get out of the car to go to the store as he detected unusual vibes.
Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department toldRolling Stonethat PnB was eating when an unknown suspect approached him.
She said that they fired several shots before fleeing the scene.
Meanwhile, a security guard revealed he told the rapper to be calm and “get control” of his breathing.
He told Rolling Stone that Allen’s breathing “went all the way down.”
The guard, who hasn't been named, admitted that he couldn’t recall anything about the suspect.
He said: “God put me in a position to not see s**t.”

Graphic footage shared online showed PnB lying in a pool of blood, surrounded by security and restaurant staffers.
Witnesses revealed they saw a lot of blood after gunshots erupted at the restaurant.
