Gunfire Reborn: 10 Best Weapons (2024)

The most difficult thing about Gunfire Reborn is finding the right tool for the job. With over 52 weapons to choose from (once they are unlocked), weapon choice can make or break your entire run, so it's better to experiment a little to make sure you've picked the right one for your play style.

Are you an in-your-face type of player ready to pick up a sword and go to town? Or are you more of a step way back and wait for the right shot with your sniper weapon type of player? Maybe doing burst damage with elemental support is more your jam. Either way, you might find something to like on this list.

10 Shrieker

Gunfire Reborn: 10 Best Weapons (1)

The Shrieker isn't the strongest rocket launcher-type weapon you have on the roster when it comes to strictly base stats. However, get your hands on an explosive inscription, combine it with a crit perk, and you will be blowing everyone within the blast radius away with massive damage.

While being a slower-firing weapon, it makes up for it in power, a decent crit base, and a high explosion radius when applicable. It's not bad for an entry-level launcher-type weapon, and will certainly get you out of a jam.

9 Angelic Aura

Gunfire Reborn: 10 Best Weapons (2)

Hot on the heels of a stat buff, Angelic Aura is fast. Its base stat may be low, but it has both the highest rate of fire and the highest damage per shot. This makes it a formidable submachine gun once you spec it to the way you play (or pair it with Corrosion).

Before the update, it suffered from having a wild recoil, which greatly lowered the accuracy of the weapon — more so than you would expect from a submachine gun. Thankfully, a patch was released to alleviate the recoil, which makes the gun more fun to run.

8 Icy Spear

Gunfire Reborn: 10 Best Weapons (3)

The Icy Spear is great for crowd control despite the unassuming nature of its design. Once you throw a spear, it spins continuously at its destination, causing AoE damage for several seconds. Throwing several in a row can make for a pretty good spirit processor, and make quick work of the mobs.

Its weapon skill is where the spear shines. All those ice thorns you have spinning around will return to you, causing damage to anyone standing in their path. If your target isn't downed by the initial attack, then this will finish the job.

7 Thunderclap Gloves

Gunfire Reborn: 10 Best Weapons (4)

These gloves shoot a continuous, singular beam of electricity at your opponents so fast that it feels like a constant stream, despite them having ammo like the other weapons in the game. Feeling like a god of thunder is more than enough of a reason to grab this glove when it's available.

The gloves' fire rate is so fast that you can do a lot of damage even if you don't have a high crit stat. Adding some choice elemental inscriptions will increase your chances of shocking your enemies right where they stand.

6 Rainbow

Gunfire Reborn: 10 Best Weapons (5)

Speaking of tracking targets, the Rainbow will do all that and more. Not only will it deal a decent amount of damage, and stick to whoever you mark with your skill, but it will also go through walls to try and damage someone. The beam can be interrupted by an enemy coming between your mark and the beam, but if they're getting damaged either way, then it shouldn't make much of a difference.

The Rainbow is good for building around crit as it already has a decent base. However, with the almighty power of inscriptions, almost all your hits will crit on your target. Juggling the targeting with both the beam and the mark can be challenging to master, but once you figure out your flow, you'll be unstoppable.

5 Crimson Firescale

Gunfire Reborn: 10 Best Weapons (6)

This gun gives you the best of both a machine gun and a grenade launcher in one convenient package. To build up your grenade launcher, you'll have to hit those crits for a max of five bombs that will shoot off all at once. However, the weapon comes with a good base critical hit multiplier.

Even better, you can pull off both your regular attack and the weapon skill simultaneously without going through all of your ammo. Your weapon skill uses the charges you've built through landing crits, so the more you shoot, the better chances you have of making it to the end.

4 Fire Tower

Gunfire Reborn: 10 Best Weapons (7)

The first melee weapon to grace the list, Fire Tower feels like raw power when you are swinging it around. Often, especially in the earlier levels, it is a one-hit kill. This power comes at a cost to both the speed of your attacks and your special ammo. Each swing you take, whether you hit someone or not, will cost you one bullet. However, it's worth the price for that damage.

That isn't all Fire Tower has to offer though. It comes with another skill that launches a giant fire wheel far out into the crowd. This weapon skill doesn't pack the same punch as hitting them with the sword itself, but it's decent for crowd control.

3 Bone Dragon

Gunfire Reborn: 10 Best Weapons (8)

How would you like the power of a singularity in the palm of your hands? The Bone Dragon is just that. Once you shoot it, it creates a gravity well to pull in enemies unlucky enough to be close, then explodes after a short delay.

The nice thing is that you don't necessarily have to be accurate in aiming down your sights — just aiming in the general direction will set you up for clearing a room with ease. Plus, your gun growls as you refill it. This doesn't add anything to the effectiveness of the weapon, but you have to admit that it's pretty cool.

2 Prism

Gunfire Reborn: 10 Best Weapons (9)

At first glance, it's understandable that you may underestimate Prism. It's a simple kunai with Corrosion, so you'd think it can't deal a whole lot of damage. Wrong. The blades will bounce all over the room, taking out anything that moves. You can throw as many as you have ammo saved up, making the room a literal pin cushion.

You do sacrifice accuracy for piercing power, so certain inscriptions (such as CritX) won't be effective at providing a crit boost to the Prism's ricochet since it relies on accuracy. Using this with someone proficient at elemental damage, such as the Crown Prince, you will melt your enemies.

1 Dual Fang

Gunfire Reborn: 10 Best Weapons (10)

Listen, sometimes you just have to think outside the box and grab a lizard chameleon for a weapon. Dual Fang functions as a submachine gun and has a high rate of fire with a minor delay in between charges. If you manage this correctly, you won't have to worry about your charge decreasing.

Dual Fang's bullets alternate between casting Fire and Corrosion. This creates an opportunity to cause combustion to occur, which can deal up to 200 percent extra to your target and 100 percent extra damage in the radius around your target. The rate at which you can get both Burning and Decay to appear is finicky, but well worth the effort.
